Originally from Chicago, I’ve been a Houston-Texan since 2010.  I love children, Jesus and I’m passionate about serving others. I love children and family so much I have seven of my own and now I’m a grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters.  My husband and I are celebrating twenty years of marriage and we still like each other after all these years.  Now, that’s a real blessing! If you gave me the choice to live in a mansion or live and travel in an RV — I would certainly choose the latter.

Again, did I mention I love children?  I have dedicated the last twenty years to serving children in a range of capacities from a licensed home daycare provider, girl scouts troop leader, children’s ministry leader, and a certified teacher in the public school system.  No matter where I serviced children I saw the same deficits and inadequacies in the services and I was motivated to create Rise Up First Christian Academy – a virtual community where children are inspired to believe in themselves and move forward with clarity about their purpose in this world.
